This is achieved by adding bone material between the upper jaw and the maxillary sinuses, which are situated on either side of your nose. The Sinus Lift Procedure
During the procedure, the surgeon carefully lifts the sinus membrane to create space for the new bone. The process begins with an incision in the gum tissue to expose the jawbone, followed by creating a small opening in the bone to access and elevate the sinus membrane. These include accidental puncture or tear of the sinus membrane, infection, or unsuccessful integration of the bone graft.
